Requirements
- 5 to 8 years progressive experience in an electro-mechanical product development environment with a proven track record of accomplishments.
- Familiarity with major 3D modeling software
- A solid understanding of Mechanical Drafting procedures and standards.
- Working knowledge of mechanical design packages (i.e., SolidWorks)
- Ability to interact and collaborate with immediate team, as well as junior and senior colleagues
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Create documentation (drawings, specifications, ECOs) for electro-mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Lead designer of parts and assemblies.
- Complete assignments within approved project budget and schedule parameters.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplined development team of engineers, designers and technicians.
- Maintain proper documentation to substantiate patent applications and provide technical consultation when requested.
- Suggest innovations, design improvements and cost reductions for existing products.
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews at key milestones during the project life cycle.
- Participate in prototype through pilot production builds.
Preferred Qualifications
- A background in consumer products is desirable.
