Requirements
- 5+ years experience with signal processing, data analysis, and/or performance engineering; experience in solar or battery system performance analysis is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in engineering or mathematics
- Demonstrated experience developing robust and documented analysis procedures, cross-functional collaboration to define KPIs
- Experience with version control, data management, analysis, modeling, and visualization software such as git, SQL, Python
- Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
- Process, analyze, and interpret battery, system, and plant data through Form’s cloud storage system using custom Python scripts
- Define KPIs and document calculation procedures, including data collection, data cleaning, analysis method, analysis automation, and visualization
- Create automated data processing scripts to extract and track relevant KPIs across deployed projects
- Run gap analysis between in-field, in-lab, and modeled battery performance and contribute to gap root cause hypothesis and required testing for conclusions
- Support the development and validation of models that predict the performance of our battery systems in various operating conditions
- Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to inform data collection and data storage solutions for our battery deployments at multi-hundred MW scale projects
- Use field data to identify and predict problems, and to inform root cause analyses in collaboration with O&M and Project Engineering teams
- Collaborate with user interface design and technical support engineers to define tailored performance views for internal use via our Network Operating Center and separately for external reporting to our customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in solar or battery system performance analysis is a plus
