Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud-Native Engineering, DevOps Engineering or Advocacy role
- Expertise with containers and container orchestration, particularly Kubernetes, Docker and containers.
- Strong Scripting Experience with Bash, Powershell, and/or Python
- Expertise practicing Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code techniques
- Expertise managing multiple code bases in Git
- Expertise creating Continuous Integration build and deployment automation, for example CI/CD Pipelines
- Expertise building and supporting production cloud-native applications in a major public cloud
- Expertise implementing observability, application monitoring, and log aggregation solutions
- Expertise working with cross functional teams to provide DevOps inspired solutions
Responsibilities
- Embrace the AvidXchange culture and be a positive force for the team
- Contribute to the strategic planning and direction for automation and governance of the COP platform
- Embrace and evangelize automation, infrastructure as code, policy as code, and developer enablement
- Lead technical implementations leveraging the team architect
- Be able to work independently and present results back to the COP team during Agile ceremonies
- Assist both the COP team and COP adopters with platform features and enablement.
- Represent platform capabilities at delivery ceremonies (for example: Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Change Approval Board (CAB))
- Drive forensic troubleshooting and analysis of automation and platform consistency issues
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems, resource, and infrastructure availability and performance optimization
- Evangelize cloud-native practices and methodologies to delivery teams
- Provide subject matter expertise for all aspects of our technology stack
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a computing related field or equivalent experience
- Familiarity writing and maintaining production code with an industry standard programming languages (.Net, Go, or Java) using Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Dynatrace, Prometheus and/or Grafana
- Experience with .Net core, PowerShell, Azure
- Experience with ArgoCD
- Experience in a financial organization
- Azure or AWS Certifications
