Senior Principal RF Systems Engineer – Phased Array

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus in RF Engineering and phased array systems
• 10 – 15 years of industry experience, preferably with experience spanning the entire product lifecycle (Concept to Delivery)
• US Citizen or permanent resident (future security clearance may be required)

Responsibilities

• Work with the RF Design team to define and capture RF System architecture for Epirus phased array products
• Define and iterate on product concept of operations (CONOPS) for a variety of phased array applications
• Develop and own RF systems modeling artifacts such as system architectures, gain/loss budget, and end-to-end system power calculations
• Model and simulate phased array elements and systems in HFSS/CST or similar
• Develop and refine phased array calibration and verification methodology, including near-field probe testing
• Develop system-level test plans to exercise and measure functionality and performance of RF systems, in both indoor chambers and remote field test sites
• Troubleshoot system level RF issues/failures and provide recommended paths forward
• Hold design reviews and presentations with peers and act as an expert reviewer

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple phased array product lifecycles from design concept through build and test
• Experience designing, analyzing, and validating dielectric breakdown prevention in high-power antenna systems
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
• Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
