Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Responsibilities
- You will be working as part of a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation.
- Analyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements
- Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions
- Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance
- Presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers
- Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in field of engineering or related technical discipline
- Experience with Battle Management command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems, Radar Systems or signal processing techniques
- Experience with developing, documenting and maintaining processes, methods and tools
- Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues
- Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java or DOORS
- Strong analytic, technical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture
- Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
- Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance
- Experience and interest in Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements, determination, development and implementation
- Experience in using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement
- Previous military service
- Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs
- Strong analytic, technical and problem-solving skills
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related discipline
