Requirements
- BA/BS degree / JD degree
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a corporate environment or law firm
- Deep knowledge of global data protection laws and the ability to navigate these demands in the context of global contracts and projects
- Experience drafting and negotiating privacy and security clauses in global commercial contracts
- Experience dealing with privacy risk assessments
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with regional DPOs and subject matter experts to articulate and maximize consistent application of privacy principles across regions, including by maintaining centralized templates, standards, and policy documentation
- Serve as the privacy team’s lead liaison to business and corporate teams looking to efficiently scale compliant initiatives globally or across regions
- Maintain global privacy awareness efforts and work with the privacy project manager to streamline the privacy program to avoid duplication of effort across regions
- Be a subject matter expert on privacy requirements impacting data, digital products, and websites (including cookies and other online tracking technologies)
- Advise on privacy implications of business growth, including in relation to acquisitions and divestitures
- Advise on privacy and artificial intelligence (AI) risk assessments for new products, vendors, and tools
- Work closely with other parts of the Privacy COE, the People function, Global Sourcing & Procurement and the broader Legal and Compliance teams on privacy matters
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience within a global matrix structured organization
- Familiarity with AI and algorithmic decision-making tools, digital platforms, and online tracking technologies as well as relevant regulations
- Good understanding of information technology systems and their security requirements
- Any CIPP certification
