Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 7+ years professional experience designing web and native iOS and Android applications.
• Marketplace or Ecommerce experience is a must.
• A portfolio that showcases your design process & design thinking.
• Solid understanding of the design process, Design Thinking, information architecture, usability, and heuristics.
• Deep knowledge on when and how to use different user research methods, including user interviews, surveys, Fake Door testing, usability testing, contextual interviews, and market analysis.
• Must have a firm understanding of different UI constructs for primarily responsive web, but also iOS and Android.
• Knowledge and efficiency with the design tool Figma.
• Ability to meet and communicate deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Help build the best products of your career while working on some of the most challenging problems.
• Own your product from problem discovery through final UI delivery, testing and iteration.
• Interview and build relationships with parking operators and parkers, send surveys to thousands of customers, contribute to our mature design system, run ideation workshops with stakeholders, sketch and design multiple prototypes that you’ll test inside garages or remotely, and collaborate directly with engineers, product managers, and other designers to build the best products of your career.
• Create holistic design solutions that address business and user needs by considering the entire customer experience through collaboration with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Be challenged to understand the problem space, building delightful and quality designs that drive results, and championing new processes to grow the Design and Product teams.
• Design user research and usability studies, collect and react to user feedback.
• Create user flows, design documentation, prototypes, high-fidelity mocks, and other UX deliverables.
• Create thoughtful A/B tests and growth experiments through innovative design solutions.
• Collaborate with other designers and engineers on our evolving design system.
• Mentor and pair with other designers to help upskill the team and share your learnings.
• Communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and specifics within a cross-functional team.
• Consult with internal partners on best practices to support SpotHero’s customers.
• Continuously monitor the success of the product through analytics and other tools.
• Document, collaborate on, and reference our evolving design system.
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies.
