Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred
- At least 7 years of experience in complex data management roles within healthcare or healthtech, including significant experience with master data management and healthcare data systems that have at least 100,000 patients and/or 10,000 providers
- Deep understanding of patient, provider and payer data in large-scale healthcare systems, master data management, integrations with external systems
- SQL skills (querying, manipulating data)
- Solid understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA, FHIR, Claims data formats and coding standards (ie ICD 10), Tuva, OMOP
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and lead large initiatives to deliver value periodically
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong analytical abilities and a problem-solving attitude
- Commitment to improving user experience for internal customers through better data solutions
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the vision for our suite of techniques, tools and systems to drive speed and consistency of analytics and insight data products
- Oversee the integration of diverse healthcare data sources including benefits verification, and critical data about patients, providers and payers
- Collaborate with engineering, healthcare insights, and design teams to prioritize, define, and deliver features that enhance data accessibility and usability
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and vice versa
- Ensure all data processes comply with relevant regulations such as HIPAA and are designed with privacy and security at the forefront
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist or Analytics (BI) Engineer is a plus
- Experience with modern data analytics tools/suites like Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, PowerBI, Availity and Lexis Nexis preferred
- Experience creating dashboards with Data Visualization tools such as PowerBI, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, d3.js, Tableau, Looker, Qlik sense
