Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in product management, preferably with a focus on search, recommendations, and/or e-commerce capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent of education and experience.
- Proven experience working with machine learning models and ML science teams.
- Proven experience managing backend platform development with software engineering teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise business requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Define product vision and strategy: Develop and champion a long-term product vision for product ranking on Search & Browse experiences, aligning it with overall company goals and customer needs.
- Roadmap development and execution: Create and prioritize a product roadmap, balancing short-term wins with long-term strategic objectives. Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
- Data analysis and interpretation: Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement, track product performance, and measure the impact of product changes.
- Collaboration and cross-functional leadership: Work closely with engineering, machine learning science, analytics, customer experience, and other teams to ensure seamless product development and execution. Influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
- Machine Learning model management: Work closely with data scientists to define requirements, evaluate performance, and manage the lifecycle of machine learning models that underpin the search experience.
- Backend platform management: Oversee the development and maintenance of the backend platforms and services that support the on-site search and browse experience, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Continuous learning: Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in search and relevance to identify opportunities for innovation.
