Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing or similar industry experience
- Minimum of 8 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
- This position is required to work onsite 100% at our GE Vernova Greenville, SC plant
Responsibilities
- Own the strategic vision across cells and COE focused on product & process quality
- Partner with cell leadership to establish a robust audit plan & ensure strategic & tactical support of key actions
- Mentor and coach manufacturing and quality engineers on process improvement and quality systems
- Provide leadership & support to meet COPQ reduction targets
- Drive simplification & reporting solutions to improve response time & issue resolution
- Lead cross-functional engineering and NPI efforts to improve first pass yield on key programs
- Lead customer resolution & facilitate RCA activities across the COE
- Own quality and technical framework to ensure CTQs and compliance requirements are met
- Drive a robust training program for manufacturing processes and quality systems to ensure adherence to standard practices and support the development of technical growth within the organization
- Maintain and improve process documentation & facilitate best practice sharing across the COE
- Provide advanced quality engineering for new products, processes, and technology
- Report performance and progress to senior business leadership
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Preventive Quality tools and methodologies preferably in automotive and/or aerospace industries
- Deep understanding of Lean principles, Toyota Production System
- Ability to teach, coach others
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Effective problem identification and solution skills

- Deep technical expertise
- Has comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches and methodology
