Requirements
- Ph.D. holder in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience in developing teleoperated driving simulators using CARLA. Industry or Academic is acceptable.
- Experience in developing cooperative automated driving simulators
- Experience in developing machine learning models and advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS).
- Experience in developing and testing software using ROS, CARLA, SUMO, C++, Python, and GitHub.
- Experience of research in vehicular communication for vehicular traffic management and safety.
- Solid understanding of cellular communication technologies such as LTE and 5G, and V2X communication technologies. Related Research experience is acceptable.
- Capability to learn and explore new research areas.
- Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
- Clear and concise presentation skills, both written and oral, with consideration to international audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a highly motivated team environment.
Responsibilities
- Development of teleoperated driving simulators and testbeds.
- Development of cooperative automated driving simulators and simulation analysis.
- Lead university research collaborations on teleoperated driving analysis.
- Contribute to university research collaboration for cooperative maneuver, cooperative perception, and platooning.
- Support connected smart transportation projects as well as various research projects.
- Regularly report and present to the Research team and Management & Leadership.
- Create academic publications and invention disclosures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid understanding of cooperative automated driving standards such as SAE J3216, J3186, and ETSI TR 103 578.
- Experience of professional activities for academic conferences and journals.
