Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
  • 4+ years of revenue accounting experience, with a strong knowledge of ASC 606
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail
  • A solutions-oriented mindset, with a willingness to pivot quickly in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate ‘accounting speak’ for non-finance partners

Responsibilities

  • Support Revenue Recognition Processes: Oversee the day-to-day revenue recognition cycle—from contract review through month-end close—to ensure adherence to ASC 606 and company policies.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Sales to validate contract terms, partner with Operations to track performance obligations and align with Finance on budgeting and forecasting needs.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancements, strengthen internal controls and integrate best practices to optimize revenue-related workflows.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual close activities related to revenue recognition, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, including deferred revenue, revenue accruals, and reconciliation of related accounts.
  • Review & analyze contracts to determine appropriate revenue treatment.
  • Support management in ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to revenue accounting and reporting.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive accurate revenue recognition, resolve discrepancies and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Leverage technology to automate and improve key tasks.
  • Adapt quickly to new processes, systems and challenges as the company continues to grow.

Preferred Qualifications
