Senior Scientist I – Analytical Chemistry

Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or related discipline with zero or more years of chromatography experience related to drug discovery
MS in analytical chemistry or related discipline and a minimum of five years of chromatography experience related to drug discovery
BS in analytical chemistry or related discipline and a minimum of seven years of chromatography experience related to drug discovery
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of automatic liquid handler/Robotics and related data processing software
Strong knowledge of small molecule separation by modern chromatographic techniques such as Reverse Phase LC/UPLC, LCMS and SFC
Strong knowledge of LC, LCMS and SFC instrumentation
Good interpersonal skills, flexibility and works well within a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Perform high throughput compound library purification using LCMS detection and automation software
Perform separation, purification, analysis and scale up purification of small molecule compounds from medicinal chemistry synthesis including chiral separation
Use chromatographic methods including HPLC/UPLC, LCMS and SFC to separate compounds with complex matrices (problem solving)
Ability to use automated liquid handler robots to perform sample preparation pre and post purification
Perform data analysis and prepare analysis report under supervision
Participate in group, project team and departmental research meetings
Maintain laboratory notebooks in accordance with company policies and practices
Comply with safe laboratory practices and EH&S guidelines
