Requirements
- Experience using Typescript, Java (or similar programming languages)
- Experience with Cloud technologies
- Experience with Relational databases and non-SQL datastores
- Experience troubleshooting on web browser dev tools
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures and coding background
- Experience with continuous delivery, git, test automation and build/deploy systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years working in a full-stack or backend-focused engineering position
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, performant, accessible, and robust web-based solutions to solve complex business problems.
- Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive maximum performance.
- Work closely with and incorporate feedback from other engineers, tech-ops, UX designers, researchers, and product managers.
- Attend daily stand-up meetings, collaborate with your peers, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to your customers.
- Work with colleagues across various locations and disciplines to achieve common goals.
- Be a trusted on call engineer as part of the on call rotation of your team – typically once every two months.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using React
- Experience with AWS preferred
- Experience with MySQL, DynamoDB and S3 (nice to have experience with Kafka, EBS)
- Experience with dev tools like Spinnaker, Kubernetes, Jenkins
- Experience designing data schema, and APIs
- Strong grasp for designing scalable and cost effective solutions
