Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in a data engineering or related software engineering role.
- A high level of proficiency in SQL and Python.
- An understanding of software engineering best practices and a commitment to writing clean, self-documenting code.
- Track record in developing scalable batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Handle multiple data requests with accuracy.
- Experience with message brokering technologies such as Kafka, Eventbridge, or SNS/SQS.
- Experience with a modern data stack, including tools like Snowflake, Looker, Airflow, and dbt.
- Back-End Web development experience in a Microservices architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy real-time systems integrations using message brokers such as Kafka and Eventbridge.
- Design and implement machine learning model test and deployment strategies.
- Develop automation for data extraction and transformation in a data warehouse using tools like Airflow and dbt.
- Contribute to the implementation of engineering best practices, including unit tests and integration tests in a CI/CD environment.
- Help develop data-intensive web applications within a microservices architecture.
- Gain expert-level knowledge of our data systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with teams to meet data requirements for different departments.
