Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 14 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 9 years of related engineering experience.
- Experience with signals processing.
- Experience with radar systems.
- Experience with electronics systems performance analysis, test or integration.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or related languages.
- Knowledge of system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation, and interface control documentation.
- Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Support development and integration of radar subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectives.
- Requirements development, analysis, maturation, and implementation translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Performing functional and performance analyses.
- Development of mathematical algorithms for mode/sensor implementation.
- Develop software to model behavior of systems in real-time and constructive simulations of sensors and other platforms.
- Solicit input from various stakeholders, synthesize data, and communicate results to various levels of leadership within the organization.
- Perform mission engineering activities to ensure continuity between desired operational capabilities and delivered system performance through the Systems Engineering ‘V’.
- Ensure performance capabilities of new systems and architectures are traded against cost and mission requirements and assess operational effectiveness of existing and emerging systems and capabilities in representative operational environments.
- Guiding the team through development/implementation activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active in-scope, DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Current Special Program Access.
- Demonstrated experience with Air-to-Air and/or Air-to-Ground modes.
- Demonstrated mathematical problem-solving ability and data analysis experience.
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication, presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills.
- Work experience with one of the following areas related to radar systems: search or track, surveillance, reconnaissance, electronic protection, ID, or adaptive technique.
- Experience with modeling RF in ANSYS HFSS.
- Customer focus and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience.
- An understanding of the physical limitations to implementing complex algorithms in real hardware.
- Experience with survivability requirements.
