Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Systems Engineer or Electrical Engineer in an automotive or adjacent industry
- Experience authoring and maintaining engineering requirements
- Solid knowledge of electrical schematics and control circuitry
- Good understanding of electric power systems
- Good understanding of electrical safety
- Experience working with electromechanical systems
- Self-directed and motivated with the ability to work effectively in uncertain situations
Responsibilities
- Translate product requirements into engineering specifications
- Track specifications and monitor progress
- Manage and document DFMEAs
- Create and refine electrical system design, such as controller and component topologies
- Analyze data to inform design decisions and improvements
- Create system diagrams and schematics
- Support technical supplier management and requirements definition
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to optimize system design
- Understand interdependencies between vehicle, power system, and controls
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive safety standards (e.g. ISO26262, AUTOSAR) or similar
- PCBA design experience
- Understanding of EMI/EMC design principles
- Basic understanding of Python
- Modeling using Matlab/Simulink
