Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Product Management, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Business Analytics or a related subject area). An advanced degree would be advantageous but not required.
  • Previous experience of 6+ years in a product management role or similar capacity within the technology industry.
  • Proven expertise in product management, demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex products.
  • Solid understanding of the Tax business, key data elements, operating process and related technologies.
  • SQL skills to understand code, basic troubleshooting and be self-reliant for basic data analysis. You will not be expected to write any production code.
  • Exceptional customer focus with a track record of successfully incorporating customer feedback into product strategies.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively (both written and verbal).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and addressing challenges creatively and with a product and transformation approach.
  • Understanding of technology trends and best practices within the industry.
  • Proficiency in project and product management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong background in visualization best practices and data storytelling.
  • Strong analytical approach, capable of leveraging metrics and dashboards to track product performance and inform decision-making.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a bias toward action and a strong sense of ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Take complete ownership of a data or reporting product or product line, including the technical and functional roadmap.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach and the CoE product operating model and services, effectively representing the voice of the customer to guide technology and resource investment decisions.
  • Act as the primary customer contact and intake point for the Tax product team.
  • Prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with key engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Lead product grooming and sprint planning sessions in collaboration with the engineering team and AI teams as needed.
  • Lead capacity and resource planning to optimize product development and delivery.
  • Articulate product scope, ROI, and benefits to stakeholders and business teams.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to plan and implement successful product releases.
  • Align multiple domains (both technical and non-technical) to a common vision. Provide clear and effective communication of product details, covering design, technical aspects, and functionality to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effectively motivate in the team’s support channels, assisting and addressing stakeholder questions.
  • Demonstrates understanding of technology trends to resolve how platform and architecture decisions impact product roadmaps and user experience.
  • Develop a good understanding of all products and technology led by the team.
  • Drive continuous product discovery by gathering and analyzing user feedback, data and reporting usage metrics, and business performance data to find opportunities for enhancement.
  • Ensure strong alignment between product goals and enterprise-level data governance, compliance, and security standards.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, experimentation, and agile delivery within the product team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI products, services, and practical business applications a plus.
