Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner or related occupation in the Software Development industry
  • Utilizing Agile Software Development Process to deliver software components and services
  • Utilizing Azure DevOps or JIRA to create and manage feature/work items for agile scrum teams
  • Utilizing Swagger, Postman API Testing Tool, SOAP API Client to validate & test API response
  • Utilizing GitHub as source code repository which houses all code as well as swaggers
  • Utilizing System Design, Cucumber Testing to come up with high level designs and testing the services in automated fashion
  • Utilizing SQL to query databases to support software development

Responsibilities

  • Maximize the value of the product and the work of the development team
  • Function as product owner for larger, more complex projects with high value to the organization
  • Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog according to business value for the project life
  • Communicate product backlog priorities to the team
  • Act as the key decision-maker regarding what features the product will have
  • Responsible for the vision of what is to be built and conveying that vision to the team
  • Assist with the elaboration of epics, themes and features into user stories that are small enough to be achieved in a single sprint
  • Convey the vision and goals at the beginning of every sprint and collaborate closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Make decisions on release dates and content
  • Represent the customer and interface and engage with customer
  • Lead the daily scrum, sprint plans, reveals and retrospectives
  • Inspect product progress at the end of every sprint and accept or reject the work that has been done by the development team
  • Function as the voice of the team, communicating status externally
