Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a game engineer focusing on UI/UX systems.
- Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
- Strong understanding of common UI framework design patterns.
- Deep expertise in designing systems for high performance on modern hardware.
- Unreal Engine experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design and art teams to define UI requirements and implement the necessary features.
- Work with a UX/UI team to develop and improve interaction paradigms.
- Be an expert on the engine’s existing UI systems and use this knowledge to inform visual targets, best practices, and internal development needs.
- Optimize UI systems to meet performance budgets.
- Collaborate with other engineers to define UI integrations with other systems.
- Educate other team members on the proper use of UI components and APIs.
- While collaborating across departments, you enjoy autonomy over your expertise, and can self drive and prioritize as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on character, camera, and/or controls systems for an action game
