Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years in a leadership or management role
  • 6+ years of experience in web development
  • Strong technical proficiency in web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend libraries like Svelte or React
  • Experience with backend technologies and frameworks, specifically PHP and Node.js
  • Extensive experience with content management systems, including both WordPress and Contentful
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using GraphQL for querying and managing content
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform
  • Experience with version control systems, specifically GitHub
  • Experience managing front-end CI/CD pipelines, especially using Github Actions, Netlify, and Cypress
  • Deep understanding of web architecture, design patterns, and best practices for building scalable, performant, and secure web applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Experience planning technical roadmaps

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for our web platforms
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, user stories, and project plans
  • Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies
  • Oversee the implementation of responsive web designs
  • Manage the full development lifecycle, from planning and estimation to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Continuously monitor and optimize web performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the web engineering team
