Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years in a leadership or management role
- 6+ years of experience in web development
- Strong technical proficiency in web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend libraries like Svelte or React
- Experience with backend technologies and frameworks, specifically PHP and Node.js
- Extensive experience with content management systems, including both WordPress and Contentful
- Demonstrated proficiency in using GraphQL for querying and managing content
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform
- Experience with version control systems, specifically GitHub
- Experience managing front-end CI/CD pipelines, especially using Github Actions, Netlify, and Cypress
- Deep understanding of web architecture, design patterns, and best practices for building scalable, performant, and secure web applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Passion for technology, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Experience planning technical roadmaps
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for our web platforms
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, user stories, and project plans
- Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies
- Oversee the implementation of responsive web designs
- Manage the full development lifecycle, from planning and estimation to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Continuously monitor and optimize web performance, scalability, and reliability
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the web engineering team
