Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience working on commercial Interior Design projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive knowledge of building codes and accessibility guidelines.
  • Excellent client communication and management skills.
  • Excellent space planning skills, with focus on creating efficiencies while driving innovative planning.
  • Strong and confident ability to visually convey ideas, present and guide client decision making.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude – must be self-motivated and self-managed and have the ability to multi-task and organize several projects at a given time.
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Ability to excel under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments.
  • Team player, culture-builder.
  • Ability to work both independently and within the fabric of a design team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative, buildable and budget-appropriate design concepts that can be successfully measured against creative brief.
  • Lead Client visioning, ideation and creative solutioning sessions.
  • Own the full design lane of working with client to develop and drive concept development, create and present design solutions and coordinate a complete set of contract documents independently or as part of a team.
  • Lead and drive the creative process to extract the ask, define and create the solution and document the outcome.
  • Communicate concepts and ideas to others through written, drawn and verbal means.
  • Partner regularly with Studio Lead as needed for the completion of assigned projects and serve as a Mentor to other design peers.
  • Collaborate with Studio Leads and Senior Design Director to contribute to proposal content and workflow planning.
  • Expected 10%-15% travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NCIDQ Certification preferred.
  • Impressive portfolio with primary experience in workplace design. Healthcare “light,” industrial or innovation center design a plus.
