Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant technical field and 2 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant technical field and 5 years of relevant experience; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Knowledge and/or experience with static and structural dynamics analysis of spacecraft, aircraft, or missiles
- Proficient in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation
- Proficient in Nastran (or equivalent)
- Professional knowledge of missile and/or spacecraft structures, statics, strength of materials, structural dynamics principles, and methods
- Experience evaluating designs using rigid body or flexible body analysis methods and tools
- Proficiency with modern substructure modeling and assembly technology and component mode synthesis methods such as Craig-Bampton sub structuring
- Experience in the planning and execution of static, vibration, acoustic, modal, and shock tests for aerospace flight hardware
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment
- Ability and experience owning tasks, and driving the team to closure quickly, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform loads development (primary structure and component level)
- Shock and vibration environments determination
- Component and system level testing and data evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Structural Mechanics program or equivalent from an accredited college/university
- Experience working strategic or tactical missile programs
