Requirements

  • 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree in a STEM field of study; 6 years with a Masters; 4 years with a PhD.
  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience with stress and structural analysis
  • At least 1 year of experience with LRU fabrication and installation processes with hands-on experience
  • At least 1 year of experience with test fixture design
  • At least 1 year of experience with parts, materials, and process selection and manufacturing support
  • At least 1 year of experience with HW Qualification Testing

Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively communicate across teams to negotiate interface requirements
  • Provide support to Manufacturing, Procurement, Lab Integration and Test
  • Produce mechanical piece part drawings and General Assemblies (GA)
  • Support the creation and management of Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • Provide mechanical engineering support to the Mechanical Design Engineering team
  • Define and apply appropriate standards, materials and finishes in accordance with project requirements
  • Maintain documents and drawings through development and production changes

Preferred Qualifications

  • US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • Expert level proficiency with design tools such as NX, AutoCAD, or Microsoft Visio
  • Prior experience in coordinating with multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) within a dynamic program environment
  • Experience with preparing and presenting oral and written reports
  • Familiarity with PM&P requirements per Aerospace TOR-2006(8583)-5235 / -5236
  • Experience with DoD architectures and Industry/Military Standards (e.g. MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-331, MIL-STD-1901A and Mil-STD-461)
