Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and 8 years of experience; 6 years of experience with a Masters; 4 Years with PhD
- U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- Have a working knowledge and understanding of Industrial Engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio
Responsibilities
- Support production activities for the Air Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Team
- Be the Industrial Engineering Lead and provide project guidance to other IEs on your team
- Utilize process improvement methodology (e.g., value stream mapping, employee engagement techniques, flow reduction, etc.)
- Engage and collaborate with programs and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements
- Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution
- Create and present technical briefings for upper management and technical leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD security clearance
- Experience working in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) phase of a program
- Experience conducting Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs) with Suppliers
- Aerospace and Defense Industry Experience
- Knowledge of SAP MRP, AutoCad, and FlexSim (other discrete simulation programs) tools and concepts
- Ability to create and automate Industrial Engineering performance metrics
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, and Visio
