Service Technician

Requirements

• Strong communication skills required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Prepares job form listing parts and works necessary to complete assembly.
• Designs, fabricates, machines, and assembles parts and components.
• Assembles electrical and mechanical systems and other related items.
• Assembles new equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Build panels within specifications.
• Troubleshoot problems as necessary.
• Must wire to quality standards as set forth by Quality Manager, Production Manager, and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Perform a final inspection before transporting completed Control Panel/Assembly to Quality Department.
• Assist other employees as requested by Production Mgr. or Management (including mounting subpanels and packaging for shipping).
• Correspond with Engineering or Management for changes/suggestions regarding work folder drawings.
• Retrieve allocated supplies from job shelf once job is assigned.
• Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems.
• Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
• Assist with Board Assembly and Cable Assembly.
• Assist with Shipping as requested by Production Manager or other Management.
