Requirements
- A leader with a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- 1+ years of leadership experience in customer service, retail, food service, or hospitality
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
- Strong communication skills—you can talk coffee, coach a new barista, and handle customer concerns with ease
- Experience working as a cashier or managing cashier processes in previous roles
- Full availability: mornings, nights, weekends, holidays—you’re all in and ready to lead
- The desire to grow into management and take on future General Manager responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations, ensuring customer service and store standards are top-notch
- Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and development for our barista team, helping them deliver an exceptional coffee experience
- Support the manager and management team by running efficient shifts and being the go-to leader when they’re not around
- Create legendary customer experiences by ensuring fast, friendly, and accurate service—both behind the coffee bar and at the cashier station
- Execute all store processes, from cashier operations and customer service to health, safety, and food quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee bar and workspace, acting as a role model for the rest of the team
- Actively participate in store meetings, helping to drive leadership initiatives, team morale, and customer engagement
- Embody the Black Rifle Coffee values—radical transparency, integrity, and accountability—and lead by example every shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a barista is awesome, but we’re willing to train the right leader in coffee mastery
