Requirements
- Mechanical expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems, including engines and transmissions
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems
- Experience in performing maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Implementation of preventive maintenance procedures
- Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, and other essential components of heavy machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment
- Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, addressing issues related to fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions
- Implement preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and those around you
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and work performed
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one (1) to seven (7) years of relevant experience
- Factory, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus
- A history of working with different forms of heavy equipment, specifically excavators, forklifts, compactors, and other types of aerial and earthmoving equipment
