Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year Sleep center/IDTF experience required
  • Maintain current CPR or BLS certification
  • Current RPSGT certification or Respiratory Therapist with Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS) credential

Responsibilities

  • Follow all ZOLL Laboratory Services policies and procedures.
  • Review scored clinical events (such as respiratory events) utilizing American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards.
  • Upload final home sleep apnea test results to ZOLL Patient Management portal.
  • Contact (usually by phone) patients regarding pending home sleep kit arrival.
  • Explain the procedure and orient the patient to home sleep testing (HST).
  • Provide age-appropriate patient education.
  • Identify artifact, inadequate signals, and equipment failures and generate an accurate report.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
  • Perform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation.
  • Maintain current CPR or BLS certification.
  • Adheres to all ZOLL policies and procedures.
  • Complete annual ZOLL training as required.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Works with other members of the IDTF as necessary to provide excellent patient care.
  • Interface with Supervising Physician as necessary.
  • Adhere to IDTF policies related to quality assurance.
  • Comply with professional standards of conduct.
  • Obtain/maintain sleep credentials as needed to perform job duties.
  • Supervise, train and coach Sleep Technicians as needed.
