Requirements
- Must be proficient in performing behavioral health diagnostic and psycho-social assessments utilizing the DSM-V
- Must be able to implement group, family, and individual psycho therapeutic interventions including crisis intervention
- Must develop treatment plans and disposition plans
- Must maintain contact with family and community agencies and make referrals
- Must uphold ethical standards in accordance with relevant professional association’s code of ethics
- Must demonstrate mastery of patient documentation, diagnosis, assessment, risk management, clinical counseling, and crisis intervention at an intermediate level
Responsibilities
- Provides initial assessment and develops plan of care according to TN Department of Mental Health, The Joint Commission and CMS Best Practice Guidelines
- Provides targeted evidence-based interventions into clinical practice with patients
- Facilitates transitions to appropriate levels of care via in person, telephone or telehealth contact
- Acts as clinical liaison with patient, family, treatment team and community
- Contributes to the organization by actively participating in process improvement initiatives and shared decision making
- Engages in regularly scheduled supervision as required by the Tennessee Health Related Boards
- Maintains confidentiality and privilege in accordance with TN state codes and statutes
