Requirements
- 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience (React, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, or similar)
- Strong proficiency in Next.js and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks
- Full stack experience (comfortable designing or consuming APIs and working with various services)
- Deep understanding of SEO principles and best practices—especially around performance, accessibility, and search optimization
- Proven knowledge of A/B testing concepts and conversion rate optimization
- Stellar cross-functional communication skills—you can work effectively with marketing, design, and product to reach shared goals
- Eye for good user experiences and a knack for “getting the visuals right”
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, continuously grow, and master your craft
Responsibilities
- Lead complex frontend projects that establish Vercel as a gold standard for brand and product marketing
- Collaborate with growth and marketing teams to A/B test landing pages for lead generation across multiple channels
- Design and implement scalable applications, web services, and APIs with a focus on user experience and performance
- Contribute to our design system and uphold industry-leading UX standards (e.g., interactions, micro-animations, layout consistency)
- Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and systems to scale the codebase and team productivity
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs, delivering quick, high-quality resolutions
- Write technical documents and maintain internal tools to empower other teams
- Review and provide feedback on contributions from other engineers
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize for conversion, speed, and reliability across the funnel
- Critically think about foundational areas of the Vercel application to ensure ease of maintenance and future extensibility
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Vercel platform
- Comfort using Tailwind CSS
- Background in web design or interest in design systems
- Interest in developer tooling domain
