Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP (GCP preferred).
- Proficiency in the Python programming language.
- Expertise in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and maintain software applications, focusing on performance, security, and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into effective software solutions.
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code efforts, supporting and enhancing automated provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure while leveraging tools such as Spacelift.
- Work with monitoring and logging tools, such as Datadog, to maintain visibility into application health and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Engage in code reviews, helping to maintain code quality and alignment with coding standards.
- Assist in creating and updating technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Work closely with security engineers to design and implement effective security strategies.
- Participate in the Level 2 Support rotation, collaborating with stakeholders to address requests that require manual work or process improvements beyond the capabilities of our current tools.
- Partner with stakeholders to execute tasks or enhancements that our tools don’t yet facilitate, gathering insights to inform future development priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code utilities such as Spacelift and Terragrunt.
- Working experience with observability platforms (e.g., Datadog) for maintaining and diagnosing application performance.
