Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Robotics, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- High customer focus and attention to detail
- Proficiency in C++
Responsibilities
- Report into a Perception Engineering Manager
- Work on an exciting roadmap to deliver new Waymo products
- Be a core contributor across our ML heavy stack, building tooling and systems to promote new hardware platforms, reliable evaluation, scalable data mining, integrated distributed systems, and guide tooling across the development ecosystem and smoother development experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Google Infrastructure: Flume, Spanner, Borg, or Guitar
- 2 years professional experience contributing to an ML-centric product
- Familiarity with ML principles, models and techniques
- Developed models in a customer-focused environment (e.g., NLP, Speech, or Video)
- Experience in data analysis at a large-scale
- Experience working on a multi-component ML system and building measurable signals to improve it
