Requirements
- Requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
- 15+ years of systems/software engineering experience on the Navy’s Cooperative Engagement Capability
- Broad Engineering background sufficient to analyze design data related to electrical, software, mechanical, and physical science disciplines.
- Proven experience to estimate project budget and schedule required across engineering disciplines.
- Proven experience all phases of Software Engineering including requirements, design, code, test and integration
- Experience with C/C++, Java, Linux
- Real-time software development experience
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for an effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
- Familiarity with online tools used by the Federal Government for solicitations and proven record of success developing opportunities within the DoD community.
- Possess business and technical vision
- US Citizenship required
Responsibilities
- Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, software development, integration and test, documentation, and maintenance, for complex software system/applications.
- High level of oversight for engineering research, design, development, and sustaining projects.
- Responsibility for project schedule, budget, and drives cross-functional technical team to achieve technical objectives.
- Lead team through complete lifecycle phases including requirements, concept development, design reviews, V&V and release to production using established formal development process.
- Have knowledge of and lead a team of engineers through all phases of a project including engineering specifications, design, system test, scheduling, cost estimates including various documentation & drawings.
- Develop test plans and procedures to perform testing and integration of hardware and software/firmware within complex electronic systems.
- Demonstrated skills in all areas of business development including opportunity qualification, capture strategy, customer visits, customer relationship development, relationship development with competitors, team leadership, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Agile development methods, including Scrum
- Experience with Rhapsody
- Knowledge of or experience with UML, object-oriented design, model driven development
