Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams.
- Software Engineering Leadership experience
- Expert level knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, testing.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.
Responsibilities
- Be both a highly technical, hands-on coder and effective people manager.
- Capable of hosting technical discussions, being a subject matter expert, and having strategic influence.
- Own and drive complex technical projects from the planning stage through execution.
- Create a team environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
- Balance the adoption of new technologies with practical, efficient solutions.
- Keep up with technological advancements and integrate them to enhance our engineering practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other teams to align technological development with business goals and user needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams.
- Master’s Degree or higher
- Experience building large scale software systems that are robust, reliable, and scalable.
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
- 2+ years of engineering team management experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
