Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in personal insurance

Responsibilities

  • Accept or reject risks, exceeding the levels of authority granted to agents.
  • Make requested modifications, renew or cancel the most complex automobile and home insurance contracts, according to the level of authority granted.
  • Review certain files at renewal and ensure they still meet standards, inform the client of our acceptance conditions or the reasons for a non-renewal refusal.
  • Provide support and technical advice to agents regarding risk selection criteria and computer systems.
  • Evaluate and respond to requests for risk accommodations, products, and rates.
  • Respond to calls, chats, and emails applying rules and guidelines in a call center environment.
  • Respond to the needs of our agents in a timely and informed manner to provide first-class underwriting service.
  • Contact agents/clients to follow up on risk underwriting.
  • Review existing client files to ensure all measures have been taken to improve the profitability and long-term success of our existing portfolio.
  • Analyze relevant reports (such as inspections, vehicles, claims) to assess risk and claims exposure.
  • Continuously update technical skills through online courses or relevant training.
  • Participate in the implementation of certain projects.
  • Collaborate with team members.
  • Offer suggestions and recommendations to their supervisor, following feedback from agents/clients, to improve the service we offer.
