Requirements
- Experience designing structures and mechanisms for spacecraft
- Experience performing static and dynamic structure analysis
- Experience with SolidWorks or CAD tools
- Ability to manage mass budgets
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems
- Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Work independently with some guidance
- May review or guide activities of more junior employees
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with spacecraft subsystem thermal testing
- Experience with spacecraft subsystem static or dynamic testing
- Experience with CAD and FEA software packages
- Knowledge of radiation hardening and survivability requirements
- Ability to manage thermal budget
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
