Requirements
- Successful completion of approved School of Radiologic Technology Program
- License as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Certification through ARRT in Cardiovascular Technology within two years of hire
Responsibilities
- Perform exams as directed by radiologist to ensure appropriate views of anatomy are taken that will facilitate an accurate diagnosis
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures including pulse assessment and sterile field preparation
- Maintain adequate level of supplies
- Comply with all Radiology Information System and PACS entry requirements for accurate patient, film, supply, tracking monitors
- Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, co-workers and self by using appropriate radiation and bloodborne pathogen precautions
- Assist and support the Radiologic student program, specifically the clinical aspect
- Attend continuing education programs and complete mandatory training to maintain licensure, position specific ongoing competencies and professional growth
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of experience as a Diagnostic Technologist or one year experience in special procedures
