Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field preferred
- Two to three years of experience related leave of absence administration and workers compensation in an HR setting
- Strong understanding of federal and state and global leave regulations, filings and compliance requirements, affecting leaves
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude including Excel, PowerPoint; experience with HRIS and benefits databases
- Strong project management skills showcasing organizational and planning skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across teams
- Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment
- Strong analytical skills and a fundamental knowledge of compensation and benefit programs
- Ability to handle administration of leave and other benefit programs/project including implementations or sunsetting of programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Administer domestic and international employee leaves, including Paid Family Leaves, Short- and Long-Term Disability, ADA, personal leaves, Workers’ Compensation and other applicable state and federal leave programs domestic and global
- Provide excellent customer service to Venture Global’s employees by acting as point of contact for requests and inquiries regarding Total Rewards programming
- Process required documents through payroll to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions
- Process monthly invoices from all insurance providers and vendors; audit, review, and reconcile billings for accuracy
- Prepares reports and forms to ensure Venture Global’s compliance with the Employee Retirement Income and Security Act (ERISA), which includes preparation of 5500’s and summary annual reports. Also gathers the data required for the vendors to prepare annual non-discrimination testing; analyzes results for accuracy and assists in corrective action if needed
- Modify and update procedures to coordinate with laws and regulations, to ensure company policies align with current legislation
- Draft communications to employees
- Provide analysis on loss time, disability claim
- Conduct Total Rewards training sessions to educate employees, managers, and HR Business partners on internal process and leave topics
- Collaborate with team members, HR Business Partners, and Payroll to ensure seamless coordination of leave-related or other processes
- Work closely with external vendors, as needed, to manage administration
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure proper services are provided to the employees and to the company
- Support the annual open enrollment and compensation cycle processes
- Participate in the annual review and design of programs
- Create and publish process documentation for leave and workers compensation administration
- Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Oversee maintenance of employee Total Reward files, maintain Total Rewards database and update employee records
- Help to perform plan audits and review data accuracy
- Other duties or projects as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have prior experience administering leave programs, workers compensation, benefits invoicing, and a fundamental knowledge of administration of compensation cycles, health and welfare plans (e.g. medical, dental, vision, life insurance, etc.), wellness programs, and retirement plans
- Experience administering and implementing benefits in an HRIS, such as ADP Workforce Now, Workday or similar system would be an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a diverse workforce
- Attention to detail, with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in time management, effectively prioritizing and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
- Ability to work overtime, weekends or to accommodate a different time zone may be needed
- Benefit or compensation certifications or some classes toward certification
