Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- RN-Registered Nurse of California
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- CNOR certification within 1 year
- 5 years of OR experience (not surgery center)
- Evidence of expertise in developing patient and staff education materials
- Interpersonal communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence while actively collaborating with health care members providing care for highly complex patients
- Experience with data management systems
- Experience working with inter-disciplinary teams
- Organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills to access, enter, and retrieve data; MS Word and Excel spreadsheets
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the organization of services and systems necessary for a collaborative approach to a clinical specialty and related patient care
- Assume day-to-day responsibilities of patient care, process and performance improvement activities as they relate to nursing and ancillary personnel
- Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical programs to achieve high quality, patient-focused outcomes
- Be responsible for specialty program development, quality assessment, improvement, and inter/intra disciplinary communications
- Work collaboratively with all hospital and clinic personnel on shared system and performance improvement projects
