Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Prefer graduates of Masters or Doctorate Program in Speech-Language Therapy
- Intermediate level knowledge with computer skills such as inputting data into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care (PCC)
Responsibilities
- Assess patients within 24 hours of referral and develop effective treatment plans, obtaining physician approval
- Deliver treatments as prescribed and adjust per policy
- Oversee Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants during care
- Communicate patient progress with the care team and participate in conferences as needed
- Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, and required records
- Instruct families and staff on maintenance programs for discharge readiness
- Follow state practice acts, facility policies, and payer requirements
- Act as a preceptor for students and CFY/RFP candidates
