Requirements

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Experience leading successful team, developing others through support and training.
  • Experience in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Understands energy reduction principles across key plant consumables such as electricity, compressed air, water, and natural gas.
  • Capable of conceptualizing, coordinating, and integrating internal data, and clearly articulating concepts, ideas, and other issues related to facility and energy improvement projects.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other employees.
  • Knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and assist facilities technicians in their daily tasks, ensuring they remain on task and providing coaching and support as needed.
  • Quickly diagnose and repair building and infrastructure equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Lead and manage facilities-related infrastructure upgrade projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Serve as the first layer of escalation for technical issues that arise within the facility, providing hands-on support and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure that critical systems, including climate control, compressed air, nitrogen generation, and other key systems, are properly maintained and operate effectively.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, correcting unsafe conditions, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and project progress. Generate reports and present information as needed.
  • Train and develop facility technicians, providing guidance on proper analysis techniques, processes, and procedures. Orient new team members on processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Administer and apply company policies consistently and fairly, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Utilize blueprints, schematics, and print specifications related to building infrastructure (power, air, water, etc.) for maintenance and project planning.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts for existing systems and new materials for incoming systems, ensuring availability and proper stock levels.
  • Manage communication and project timelines for outsourced assistance, collaborating with and leading external contractors.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, researching, recommending, and implementing enhancements to facilities processes and systems.
  • Foster a positive team environment, maintaining and developing team morale through effective leadership and support.
