Requirements

  • 5+ Years’ experience Proven experience as a SQL Server/Oracle RAC/ MongoDB Database Administrator, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience on windows and Linux database platform.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, Ansible and PowerShell scripting for automation, orchestration, and integration tasks.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience with agile methodologies and working.
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server/Oracle RAC performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with database security principles and best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, Deploy, and Administrator SQL Server, Oracle RAC and MongoDB services on windows and Linux platforms with optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to define database requirements and solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of database platform environment.
  • Implement cost optimization strategies and ensure efficient utilization of database resources.
  • Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities with minimal downtime and risk to technology stack to stay within CUSO regulatory risk management thresholds.
  • Implement and manage database backups, replication, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Continuously improve database infrastructure and architecture to support evolving business needs and best practices and optimal flexibility.
  • Utilize Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell scripting to automate database administration tasks, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Automate the configure and manage database security policies, access controls, and encryption in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate database deployments into CI/CD pipelines and automate release processes.
  • Ensure all automation is robust, reusable, and adheres to industry standards.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for Data Platforms environment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies through proper configuration and auditing.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to other team members and stakeholders to resolve database-related issues, performance bottlenecks, and scalability challenges.
