Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline required; Master’s degree a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in high-growth SaaS start ups
  • Deep expertise in SaaS financial metrics, financial models, and ARR growth strategies
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), financial regulations, and corporate governance
  • Experience in fundraising (venture capital or private equity) and M&A activities
  • Proven ability to lead and scale finance and accounting functions in a dynamic startup environment
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of partnering effectively with executives and cross-functional teams
  • Strong negotiating skills and the ability to influence others
  • Sound judgment with a high level of integrity to execute with significant financial impact

Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end Finance and Accounting, including financial and strategic planning and analysis, finance and accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance & risk management, payroll, treasury, audit and tax
  • Partner with the CEO and Executive team to develop and execute Veza’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Drive performance management tied to key metrics that provide a forward-looking view into trends requiring management decisions and action
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support data-driven decision-making. Drive long range planning in alignment with growth objectives
  • Lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
  • Manage legal and compliance operations, including oversight of internal legal team and managing relationship with external corporate counsel
  • Support Board matters including preparation and coordination of board meeting agendas and content. Present financial results and insight to the board
  • Support fundraising efforts and manage relationships with investors
  • Build and scale financial operating rhythm including implementation of financial systems and enhancing operational processes, and reporting capabilities
  • Attract, develop, and retain a high performing team to meet the current and evolving needs of the business through effective selection, training, and development, coaching and mentoring and performance management
