Requirements

  • Four or more years of professional HR experience at high performing organizations
  • Experience supporting bargaining unit negotiations
  • At least two years’ experience with California workplace laws
  • Demonstrated leadership and customer focus skills
  • Knowledge of employment law and current HR trends
  • Minimum education is HS Diploma or equivalency
  • Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead Human Resources Manager responsible for daily Human Resources functions at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant
  • Lead expert on Collective Bargaining Agreements with Local 270 and 270PT
  • Responsible for establishing partnerships and maintaining close relationships with business management to recognize, identify, and understand business trends, issues, goals and needs for present and future business initiatives
  • Provides strategic human resource insight and guidance on organization issues and business implications pertaining to specific projects and initiatives
  • Supports implementation of new or revised HR programs and/or policies through effective communications and training of business unit managers and employees
  • Provides ongoing consulting and support services to business unit managers in the execution/delivery of HR programs and policies as well as guidance related to the management of their employees
  • Coordinates and partners with Employee Relations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with nuclear operations desirable but not required
  • Certification as SPHR or PHR desired but not required
