Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of Treasury, Risk, Consulting, or Regulatory experience with good working knowledge of capital, liquidity, and funding

Responsibilities

  • Manages Huntington’s Internal Liquidity Stress Testing (ILST) Framework including producing monthly ILST results for the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO)
  • Leads senior management’s quarterly approval of liquidity stress testing practices, assumptions, and methodologies and quarterly approval of the size & composition of the liquidity buffer
  • Develops key liquidity assumptions and approaches and evaluates the appropriateness of all ILST assumptions including segmentation and calibration
  • Oversees the development of daily ILST to further strengthen liquidity risk management
  • Collaborates with the Funding Desk and Liquidity Measurement & Planning teams to manage the firm’s liquidity risk position
  • Partners with Controllership for monthly production of FR 2052a
  • Responsible for making recommendations to manage ILST, LCR, and NSFR
  • Contributes to the FTP and returns analysis for loans and deposits in partnership with business lines, FP&A, Balance Sheet Management, and FTP teams
  • Ensures contingent liquidity costs are appropriately included into Huntington’s Funds Transfer Pricing Framework
  • Regularly participate in meetings with senior management, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and other key stakeholders
  • Actively engage with the regulators through participation in annual Horizontal Liquidity Reviews, regular updates, and information requests on liquidity topics, ILST, and changes to the regulatory landscape
  • Engages with industry peers to stay abreast of industry / peer practices, and identifies and recommends optimization strategies to Treasury Management, Treasury Risk, and Executive Leadership
  • Advise management and ALSC governance committee on liquidity related issues inclusive of risks and optimization opportunities. Furthermore, will collaborate with the respective teams to develop strategies to mitigate liquidity risk
  • Manage team members of the Liquidity Team; hire and provide training, and further develop team members’ understanding of liquidity risk topics
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CFA, FRM, or CPA
  • Experience in financial modeling and analytics
  • Outstanding communication skills to interface with regulators, senior management, committees, and employees of all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with multiple, competing priorities
