Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or community relations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive internal communication plans that focus on both desk free and office populations and align with the company’s goals and values.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging content for various internal channels, including newsletters, intranet, emails, social media, digital signage, video messaging, town halls, and other in-person events.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen the company’s presence and involvement in the local community, including partnerships with local organizations and participation in community events.
  • Support senior leadership in crafting and delivering key messages to target audiences, ensuring transparency and consistency.
  • Establish and manage feedback channels to gauge employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans with relevant internal stakeholders to effectively manage internal communication during emergencies or significant organizational changes.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of internal communication and community engagement initiatives, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as an extended member of several cross functional teams to drive communication outcomes for different projects, strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Lead the internal employee cares committee that plans and executes employee engagement activities across multiple locations.
  • Partner with HR and the business to design and execute programs and events that promote employee engagement, recognition, and a positive workplace culture.

  • Willingness and ability to travel with occasional overnight stays.
  • Valid Driver’s license with the ability to meet the MRC Global vehicle policy.
