Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • Proven experience in software development with a solid technical foundation with relevant experience in Java, Springboot, NodeJS, REST API, Real time streaming architectures, microservices architecture patterns
  • Demonstrated experience in developing scalable web applications and architectural standards
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of software engineers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to foster their professional growth and development
  • Deep expertise as a software engineering frameworks leader with experience in designing and implementing modern 12 factor, cloud native business technology solutions
  • Practical knowledge of cloud platforms, advanced software design patterns & architecture, operations and software engineering
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable cloud native solutions addressing cross cutting concerns like logging, application testing and application security and instrumentation by utilizing programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, and a variety of AWS tools and services
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to move seamlessly between conversing with engineers or frontline ops employees and leading presentations with non-technical stakeholders
  • A passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the domain’s technology strategy include transformational roadmaps
  • Participate actively in project planning and prioritization sessions to ensure initiatives align with business goals
  • Own delivery excellence (high quality standards for code and applications, ownership of functional & non-functional requirements)
  • Ensure development quality and testing to enable effective and efficient transition of solutions from development to production within the organization’s existing cloud ecosystem
  • Manage and enforce enterprise architecture standards
  • Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems
  • Staff, mentor, and grow technical talent (people management)
  • Provide regular reports to senior executives on the status of the factory, including performance and incident management
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools and integrate this knowledge to improve methodologies and solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering
  • Experience with coding and software development (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript)
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Demonstrated experience with horizontal platforms or related services and technologies
  • Good experience architecting large scale, mission critical, cloud-native applications for enterprises
  • Experience with distributed database systems (Cassandra, ElasticSearch)
  • Experience with deploying clustered web services
  • Experience working with event-driven and microservice architecture.
