Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or accounting is required
- 7+ years of related tax experience, including 3 years in TP function
- Strong technical understanding of TP rules, and interactions with other tax rules
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability and desire to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally and with external advisors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent quantitative and tax-modeling skills
- Good business judgement and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and balance multiple projects
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines
Responsibilities
- Work together with the tax leadership team to establish TP policies consistent with Otis’ business facts
- Lead implementation of TP policies, serving as project manager and working with cross-functions/external advisors to manage implementation process in an efficient way
- Lead global TP documentation process, including preparation of Master File, CBCR, Local Files, and other local documentation requirements (e.g., local forms) focused on TP matters
- Support controversy team in managing TP related matters at different stages of the controversy cycle (i.e., tax authorities information requests, tax audits, controversy, and dispute resolution mechanisms – e.g., Advance Pricing Agreements)
- Provide ad-hoc TP support to other members of the Tax team
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced related degrees (JD, MST, MBA) preferred
- CPA or CFA certification preferred
