Requirements
- 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing or industrial software systems (e.g., MES, SCADA, database-driven applications)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with one or more manufacturing systems such as Siemens Opcenter, Ignition, or equivalent platforms
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments (e.g., GMP, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma principles)
- Proficiency in SQL and database query tools for data analysis and issue diagnosis
- Familiarity with software deployment tools, system monitoring, and version control practices
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including IT, Engineering, Quality, and Production
- Familiarity and have practical experience with industry standards related to manufacturing operations including ISA-95
- Knowledge of FDA regulations such as 21 CFR Part 11
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to document technical issues and communicate with both technical and non-technical users.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for manufacturing software systems, including MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SCADA, SQL Server, and related applications
- Support continuous software improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, user experience, and operational efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related production issues in a timely manner to minimize manufacturing downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, IT, and Production to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for software and system anomalies
- Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability across supported platforms
- Support software deployments, configuration updates, and system integrations in manufacturing environments
- Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions in accordance with IT service management processes
- Conduct routine system health checks and participate in software validation and change control processes
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, and support procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours or weekend support as needed
- This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with relational databases
- Experience with SW V&V of Automated systems on the factory floor
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and maintain timelines
- Detail oriented and organized.
