Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing or industrial software systems (e.g., MES, SCADA, database-driven applications)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience with one or more manufacturing systems such as Siemens Opcenter, Ignition, or equivalent platforms
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments (e.g., GMP, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma principles)
  • Proficiency in SQL and database query tools for data analysis and issue diagnosis
  • Familiarity with software deployment tools, system monitoring, and version control practices
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including IT, Engineering, Quality, and Production
  • Familiarity and have practical experience with industry standards related to manufacturing operations including ISA-95
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations such as 21 CFR Part 11
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to document technical issues and communicate with both technical and non-technical users.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for manufacturing software systems, including MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SCADA, SQL Server, and related applications
  • Support continuous software improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, user experience, and operational efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related production issues in a timely manner to minimize manufacturing downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, IT, and Production to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for software and system anomalies
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability across supported platforms
  • Support software deployments, configuration updates, and system integrations in manufacturing environments
  • Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions in accordance with IT service management processes
  • Conduct routine system health checks and participate in software validation and change control processes
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, and support procedures
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours or weekend support as needed
  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with relational databases
  • Experience with SW V&V of Automated systems on the factory floor
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and maintain timelines
  • Detail oriented and organized.
